“The Zoe Foundation has been the anchor to our art therapy program for almost a decade. From daily smiles from kids elbow-deep in paint, to deep emotional healing through one-on-one therapy, you have truly made a difference. On behalf of thousands of patients and their families, thank you.”

- Michael Towne, Child Life Manager, UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital San Francisco

It all started when …

“In May 2003, I was diagnosed with Stage II breast cancer when I was 35 years old. I was lucky enough to meet an art student volunteer at The University of Michigan Cancer Center on my first day of chemotherapy. She was a gift that I found and now I strive to provide all cancer patients with an outlet of art to look forward to as they have to endure grueling cancer treatments.” Kim Hammonds, Founder

Kim was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer in April 2019 and lost her battle with cancer in June 2022. She has passed her legacy, The Zoe Foundation, supporting all cancer patients through art, to Zoe Hammonds who is now President of the foundation.
